New Delhi: International Journalism Centre (IJC) in association with AAFT University, Marwah Studios, and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry (ICME) will again celebrate International Day of Journalism on 12th February 2021.

International Journalism Centre (IJC):

International Journalism Centre was created with the aim and objectives to start a community radio station, a community television station, a newspaper to give news on art and culture, to enrol journalist associations as its members, to look into the interest and needs of journalists to promote positive and constructive journalism. It also aims to educate & promote young aspirants in the profession of journalism.

Exact Ten years back Dr Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre declared 12th February as the International Journalism Day as there was no day till that time was marked for one of the oldest professions on earth.

Who is Dr. Sandeep Marwah?

Dr Sandeep Marwah, seven times World Record Holder in media & founder of Noida Film City, is the editor of Asian News Agency, Founder and Editor of Radio Noida 107.4Fm & MSTV. Advisor to many News Papers, Chair to a large number of media organizations, President of ICMEI, founder President of AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism, AAFT School of PR Events & Advertising, and AAFT School of Photography. He has been a media Professor to 19000 students from 145 countries of the World. He is the recipient of more than 700 awards from all over the globe and has been titled as Global Cultural Minister, International Media Guru. He is also the cultural representative of more than 50 Foreign Governments from different continents.

"To mark respect to this global decision a Global Festival of Journalism was started for the first time on this part of the earth. Now it has been nine years the International Day of Journalism is celebrated on 12th of February every year," said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.

The Central Committee of IJC-International Journalism Centre declared the dates of the next event that is the 9th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021. The Committee meeting took place at Marwah Studios at its international Head Quarters under the leadership of Dr Sandeep Marwah.

"We are pleased to announce the dates of next Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021 as 12th to 14th February 2021. February 12th is an International Day of Journalism, 13th is a World Radio Day and 14th is Valentines Day. It has been nine years we have been working on this grand international event to attract the attention of journalists from all over the World," said Dr Sandeep Marwah.

How the festival will be celebrated?

The festival will be celebrated by the launching of the new Radio Station-Radio Raipur on 13th February on the auspicious moments of World Radio Day. Three very important personalities and leaders of the country i.e. Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, and Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi will be given homage during three days of the festival.

Major award functions presentation of -Newly constituted Citizen's Award, Marwah Studios International Award for Excellence in Journalism and now well established Mahatma Gandhi National Award for Journalism will take place on three different days.

"More than sixty countries are participating in the festival and around 500 media houses have given their consent to cover this international event," confirmed Dr Sandeep Marwah.
