New Delhi: India's representative to Palestine, Mukul Arya, was found dead inside the Indian Mission in Ramallah on Sunday.
However, the reason behind Arya, a 2008-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer's dead is yet to be ascertained.
External Affairs Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar has condoled the death of India's Ambassador to Palestine Mukul Arya.
"Deeply shocked to learn about the passing away of Shri Mukul Arya, the representative of India in Ramallah, Palestine. He was a bright and talented officer, he had a lot in front of him. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. Om Shanti,' he tweeted.
In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry of Palestine has too informed that the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Palestine, Mukul Arya has passed away.
Palestine too has expressed grief and said that they are establishing contact with the Indian Foreign Ministry so that arrangements can be made to transport the mortal remains of the ambassador to his country.
In addition, the Palestine government has issued immediate instructions to all security, police and public officials, besides the ministries of health and forensic medicine, to immediately visit the residence of the Indian ambassador in Ramallah to collect more information about the cause of his death.
