Karnataka Bids Final Goodbye To Puneeth Rajkumar With Full State Honours

Bangalore: On Sunday, late actor Puneet Rajkumar was sent away with all state honours in the state of Karnataka.

The Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai was also present at the venue and affectionately paid his last respects to the late actor before the final procession was carried out at the Kanteerava Stadium.

The Chief Minister handed over the national flag that was wrapped over Rajkumar's body and handed it over to his wife. Speaking to national media, he commented, "Puneeth was accorded full state honours, as the police band played the national anthem and police personnel fired three rounds in the air, followed by two minutes of silence as a mark of respect."

The public witnessed an emotional moment as the Chief Minister folded his hands to lay his last respect and kissed a tearful goodbye on the late actor's forehead.

Several photos are now making rounds on social media of the Chief Minister's final moments with the late actor. As per reports, the Chief Minister has been extending immense support to Puneet's family ever since the late actor had been admitted to the hospital. After his death, the Chief Minister also paid multiple visits to the Kanteerava Stadium where Rajkumar's body was kept for final viewing.

The Karnataka CM also went to the extend of deputing his cabinet ministers to oversee the procedures. The public were also instructed to maintain law and order during the final proceedings.
