Man Beaten To Death In Ghaziabad For Stopping Couple From Kissing In Residential Area

LUCKNOW: In Sahibabad, a 27-year-old man was brutally beaten to death on Sunday after stopping a couple from kissing while riding a scooter through a local residential area.

The deceased has been identified as Vivek Mishra, who works as an accountant at the Sahibabad vegetable market in the morning, and as a gym trainer in the evening.

On Saturday, Mishra seen a couple having an intimate moment in the open, close to LR College. It was a residential area, so he asked them to go somewhere else, which infuriated the boy.

According to a bystander who filed a complaint with the police, the couple allegedly called their buddies and brutally beat the victim.

"I observed a man, Manish Kumar, who was driving a scooter with a woman and was making out. When Virat Mishra noticed this, he disapproved of the behaviour and told Kumar to leave the residential area and stop performing such acts there”, added the complainant.

“Upon this, Kumar called many of his buddies to the location, and they assaulted Mishra with sticks and bricks. They viciously beat me as well after I interfered and attempted to save Mishra”, he mentioned.

After that, they escaped the area, according to Bunty's accusation. Mishra was taken to a hospital in the area right away and later transferred to one in Delhi, where he passed away on Sunday as a result of his wounds.

Under Indian Criminal Code sections 147 (rioting), 323 (voluntarily causing harm), 307 (attempt at murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 149, a FIR was filed with the Sahibabad police (offence created by unlawful assembly).

The six suspects involved in the case have all been taken into custody. Manish Kumar, Manish Yadav, Gaurav Kasana, Akash Kumar, Pankaj Singh, and Vipul Kumar were named as the suspects.

“All six suspects involved in the assault were arrested. The Indian Penal Code section for an attempt to murder will now be converted to section 302 (murder),” said Bhaskar Verma, assistant commissioner of police (Sahibabad).
