NEW DELHI: An unbelievably barbaric crime has been reported from the capital of the nation. According to reports, a man murdered his live-in partner and chopped her body into many pieces before disposing of them in different parts of the city.

Delhi Police has identified the murderer as one Aftab who committed this heinous crime against one named Shradha.

According to reports, the deceased had asked the murderer to marry her. They had an argument regarding the same on May 18. The quarrel led to the raising of voices which caused Aftab to press her face forcibly. She had reportedly choked to death in this quarrel.

In a bid to hide his crime, Aftab then cut Shradha's dead body into dozens of pieces with a saw. He then disposed of the pieces one by one in different parts of the Mehrauli forest area located in Delhi over a period of 18 days. In order to prevent any stink from rotting of the chopped pieces, the murderer also procured a fridge wherein he could fit the chopped body.

As per the information received, the murderer used to visit the forest in the dead of the night and dispose of small parts at a time to prevent any suspicion.

Both of them used to work in the same call center and started to live together in a rented place in Delhi. The girl's family was unhappy with their relationship so they had decided to shift from Mumbai to Delhi.

Shradha used to post pictures regularly on a popular social media site and her family kept track of her well-being from these pictures. They got suspicious when she didn't post anything for days. Following this, the father of the victim visited the rented place where the couple used to stay. Not finding anyone at the location, he filed a missing complaint.

And it took Delhi Police around five months to track down the murderer.
