Man in Gorakhpur rapes and beheads younger daughter, Elder daughter complains to police

In an extreme incident of shamelessness and crime against humanity, a man has raped and killed his own daughter in Gorakhpur. As alleged and complained by the elder daughter of the man, he raped and killed his daughter.

The man, on being arrested and interrogated by police, confessed his crime and admitted that he had been raping his 19-year-old daughter since two years. It was last on July 26, he raped and beheaded her.

The accused, Jai Prakash Gupta, used to live in the Bathbuzurg village of Gorakhpur with his younger daughter after marrying away his elder daughter. However, his wife had died some fifteen years ago. After the marriage of his elder daughter, he had been living with his younger daughter. It is only then when the younger sister did not visit the elder sister’s place on Raksha Bandhan, she enquired her father about and came to know about the heinous crime. Her father only told him that he has killed his younger daughter.

As stated by the Senior superintendent of police Sunil Gupta, "The accused has accepted that he raped and killed his daughter and the police have recovered the body parts. A case of rape and murder has been registered against the accused.”

On further investigation, it was admitted by the accused that after beheading his daughter, he had buried the head in the Urwa area of the district and the remaining part of the body was thrown in Kachna Nulla in Harpurbudhat. Police later recovered the body

Although one such criminal will be punished by the police, but several such inhuman acts are still being practised which needs to be uprooted from the society completely. Such immoral and inhumane acts will degrade morality and humanity and the society must stand against such social evils.
