Manish Sisodia’s CBI Custody Extended Till March 6

Sisodia's bail application, on the other hand, will be considered on March 10.

NEW DELHI: The CBI will hold Manish Sisodia, the former deputy chief minister of Delhi, until March 6 in relation to an alleged excise fraud.

The judge only granted a two-day extension of custody despite the CBI's request for a three-day extension.

Sisodia's bail application, on the other hand, will be considered on March 10. Dayan Krishnan, Sisodia's attorney, claims that there is no rationale for the prolongation of remand.

“The ineffectiveness of the agency cannot be a justification for remand. You might easily say that he isn't cooperating right now”, the CBI's motion for an extension of custody was rebutted by Krishnan.

Prior to the hearing on Sisodia's bail request on March 10, Sisodia asked the CBI to respond. On March 10, Manish Sisodia, the head of the AAP, will have his bail plea reviewed.

The CBI has requested an additional two days of his incarceration.

Sisodia's attorney argued that tracing missing documents while keeping Sisodia in custody could not be used as justification for the detention extension. He did this by informing the court of the terrible health condition of Sisodia's wife.

The woman was "technically" in a vegetative state, the lawyer told the judge.

The CBI detained Sisodia on Sunday after questioning him for 8.5 hours on the suspected booze fraud. A five-day CBI detention order was issued against Sisodia on Monday; it expired on Saturday.

Saurabh Bharadwaj of the AAP claims that the CBI is not concerned with facts or evidence. They just pay attention to what the government of the United States has to say.

Manish Sisodia, according to the AAP leader, was the intended victim of the entire procedure.

The Aam Aadmi Party's supporters held a demonstration outside the building and shouted protest signs. The demonstration broke out prior to Sisodia's court hearing on Rouse Avenue, just a short distance from the party office on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg.

The employees shouted "Manish Sisodia ko riha karo" and other phrases.
