Mehmood's Sister Minoo Mumtaz Passes Away at the Age of 79

Minoo Mumtaz also known as Malikunnisa Ali who was an Indian dancer and an actress passes away today on 23 October 2021 in Canada.

As per sources, she was hospitalized a few days ago due to cancer. Minoo Mumtaz was the sister of Veteran Actor and Comedian Mehmood. The actress died at the age of 79, she was living with her husband Sayyed Ali Akbar and three daughters and one son in Toronto, Canada. Minoo was also the aunt of an Indian musician and songwriter Lucky Ali. According to sources Minoo died at 01:30 afternoon as per Indian timing.

Anwar Ali a producer and younger brother of Mehmood shared the information among the mass. He has expressed sadness through a statement where he mentions he is regretful to inform that his sister Minoo Mumtaz is no more and she took her last breath in Canada. He offers his deep gratitude to the film industry, fans, media, friends and press for showering their love and respect upon her.

The wife of Anwar Ali, Mona Mathur informed me that Minoo has been living in Toronto, Canada for twenty years and was suffering from health issues for many years and hence died due to old age health problems. She further added that Minoo's last rites will be observed in Canada itself.

Minoo Mumtaz had featured in numerous Bollywood films during the 1950s and 1960s. Her role in movies was mostly as a dancer but also played as a character actress. Some of her notable films much known in the world of Hindi Cinema are Gaban in 1966, Naya Daur in 1957, CID in the year 1956, Zameer in 1975 and Taj Mahal in 1963.
