The versatile actor Nedumudi Venuveteran died at the age of 73 in Thiruvananthapuram in a private hospital on Monday early afternoon. According to reports Venu's condition was very critical as was suffering from diseases and post COVID complications.

His death was confirmed by the Doctor who was treating him for a long he also mentioned that Venu had some issues with his kidney and sepsis. Nedumudi Venuveteran was living with his family which includes his wife TR Susheela and two of his sons.

Nedumudi Venuveteran was one of the most notable actors who had won three National Awards and played his role as an actor in more than five hundred films of South India. Venu at the very beginning of his career started to act in various dramas but later he decided to switch over cinemas and then continued his acting in films ruling over the Malayalam industry for more than five decades.

Venu debuted in the year 1978 when he was featured in one of the national award-winning films "Thampu" directed by G Aravindan. Apart from Malayalam movies, Venu also acted in Tamil movies and in one of the English movies 'Chaurahen'. Venu won a national award in 1990 for his role in High Highness 'Abdulluh' a Malayalam movie, he also won the award of special jury for the 2003 movie 'Margam' and finally the award of best feature film narration in 2006 in Minukku.

It is remarkable that he has got the Kerala State Film Award six times. His last film with director Priyadarshan named 'Marakkar' was postponed due to the pandemic of COVID-19. Nedumudi Venuveteran has made a lot of contributions throughout his life in the sector of cinema and therefore he is unforgettable for his fans, friends and for the industry.

To pay tribute to the renowned actor many famous personalities from the film industry of Malayalam had arrived among which the first were Arif Mohammad Khan, Kerela governor and CM Pinarayi Vijayan. Many other celebrities like Manju Warrier, Shashi Tharoor has written on Twitter expressing their grief over the death of the actor. The governor of Kerala in his condolence message said that the actor is one of the finest actors in Indian Cinema and his unique performances as an actor reflect traditional art forms and the Indian style of acting. CM Pinarayi Vijayan regarded the death of such a talented actor like Venu is a very great loss to the world of cinema.
