New Features Make Pension Certificates Easily Accessible in DigiLocker App

GUWAHATI: A new service that enables pension certificates to be easily accessible in the Digilocker app has been launched by its authorities recently. The Government of India essentially offers a cloud-based service that enables users to electronically access their important documents. Notably, you may save and access vital papers like your Aadhaar card, driver's licence, and academic records with DigiLocker.

For instance, anyone in a hurry will appreciate not having to spend time looking for an important document because the DigiLocker software will make it accessible every single day.

Procedure for obtaining a pension certificate from DigiLocker

There are several steps that are essential to be taken in order to get access to one's pension certificate in the digilocker app:

Step1

To get started, sign in to your account online or launch the DigiLocker app on your smartphone.

Step 2:

Your Aadhaar number or registered phone number, as well as a six-digit security pin, will be required to sign in. To access your DigiLocker, you will be sent an OTP.

Step 3:

Search for "Bank of Maharashtra Pension Certifications" after successfully logging in. Alternatively, you can use the navigation on the website's left side to "Search Documents."

Step 4

If you type "pension document," a variety of results will appear. Select "Bank of Maharashtra" at this time.

Step 5:

You will have to provide the pensioner's date of birth and PPO number in the brief form you will be given to fill out.

Step 6

Then click the box next to the PPO number field to "give consent to DigiLocker to share my details with the Issuers for the purpose of obtaining my papers." When there is one, select "Get Document" to see the pension certificate.

Easy access to Digilocker via Whatsapp

Now you can also access your Digilocker account via WhatsApp. You just need to type a 'hi' and send it to MyGov WhatsApp number - 9013151515. Then press on digilocker services and proceed further by following all the instructions. This will enable you to download all your essential documents online and you can easily get access to any of it just by a single 'text' on WhatsApp.
