Eminent figures, religious leaders, and dignitaries are expected for the opening of the new Parliament building. On Sunday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to dedicate the new Parliament building. The official launching of the new Parliament building by Prime Minister Modi will take place in the Lok Sabha after an early morning havan and multireligious prayer.

On May 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building. The Opposition has criticised the Lok Sabha Secretariat's choice to invite the Prime Minister rather than the President, calling it a violation of the Constitution's language and spirit. Up to 20 opposition parties have declared their intention to boycott the ceremony, despite the Supreme Court's refusal to consider a petition asking for an order mandating that the President inaugurate it.

Here is the New parliament Building Inauguration schedule:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to arrive the new Parliament Building at 7:15 AM.

7.30 AM: A havan and puja kick off the ceremony, which will last for nearly an hour.

Prime Minister to enter Lok Sabha chamber at 8:30 a.m.

9.00 AM: The Tamil Nadu-born "Sengol," a historic sceptre, will be placed next to the Speaker's chair.

9.30 AM: In the foyer, there will be a prayer service. After the prayer ceremony is over, the Prime Minister will leave the grounds of the Parliament.

Phase II:

Arrival of visitors and dignitaries at 11.30 a.m.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive and the National Anthem opens the ceremony.

12.10 PM: Speech by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, who will probably read greetings from Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and President Droupadi Murmu.

Presentation of two short films at 12:17.

Speech by the leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha at 12:38 PM (unlikely to attend). Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, speaks.

1.05 PM: The Prime Minister releases a commemorative stamp and a rupee coin.

1.10 PM: PM Narendra Modi makes a speech.

Ceremony concludes at 2:00 PM.

A confirmed list of 25 political parties, some of which are not members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will be present at the inauguration event.

According to a report,Delhi Police asked citizens to make the necessary modifications and avoid the New Delhi District on Sunday from 5.30 am to 3 pm in advance of the inauguration of the new Parliament Building on May 28.
