New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced another good news for the people of the capital city and this time, he has come up with free electricity offers for all! As announced by the CM on Thursday that people living in the capital will be relieved from paying their electricity bills in case their power consumption does not exceed 200 units. Well, whether you term it is as a great offer for the Delhi people or a trick used by the Delhi CM, one thing is certain that this new announcement will encourage a section of electricity consumers to use less power and pay no bill.
The announcement was made in a press conference addressed by Kejriwal. The CM also added that there will be full subsidy for those who consume up to 200 units of electricity in a month. Moreover, there is a 50 per cent power subsidy for another section of electricity consumers. As per the announcement, those who consume 201 to 401 units of electricity, will get 50 per cent power subsidy from the government.
CM, addressing the press meet, said, "Those in Delhi who consume up to 200 units of electricity do not need to pay their electricity bills. They will get a zero electricity bill. Consumers of 201-400 units of electricity will receive approximately 50 per cent subsidy."

The announcement further included that the ones who used pay a bill of Rs 622 for 200 units till yesterday, will no longer have to pay any bill. At the same time, those who were paying Rs 800 for 250 units, will have to pay Rs 252 only. Users of 300 units will be paying Rs 526 and for 400 units, the new bill will be Rs 1075 as against the previous Rs 1320.
Another such free service announcement made by the Delhi CM was to offer free metro and bus services for the women of the capital city. Now, this new announcement has come just a few months ahead of assembly polls.
