NOIDA: While people are speculating over the incidents and punishments that need to be administered to the culprits of the road accident when a 20-year-old girl was dragged by a vehicle for several kilometres leading to her death, a second incident from the Noida region of the NCR has come to light. Three engineering students are the victims of yet another accident on the same night, one of them is now in a coma.

According to a report, three engineering students were hit by a speeding car in the Beta 2 space of Greater Noida. While two of the victims escaped from the scene with minor injuries, one of them was not so lucky. She sustained severe injuries on her head and legs in the incident and remains to struggle for her life in a medical institution. She is currently in a coma and is under intensive care at the Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida.

The incident came to public view when the brother of the girl in the coma took to social media to collect the necessary funds for her medical care. "I am Santosh Kumar and I am raising funds for My sister-Sweety Kumar, a student of GNIOT College, Greater Noida, as she has met with a major road accident. Doctors have advised her to stay in the hospital until she fully recovers. She is currently undergoing treatment at Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida. We have spent Rs 1,00000. Further treatment will cost Rs 10,00,000 and we need funds to continue the treatment," posted the brother.

Police Commissionerate Gautam Buddh Nagar posted a video on their official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon that an unknown vehicle hit the three girls when they were going from Alpha 2 towards Delta at around 9 PM on December 31, 2022. The family members of the victim are in contact with the police and have registered a complaint against unknown people. And the police have launched a manhunt to track down the perpetrators.
