NEW DELHI: Ramesh Agarwal, the father of Oyo Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal, passed away after falling from a Gurugram high-rise story. The flat was home to Ramesh Agarwal and his wife.

According to sources, Ritesh Agarwal did not reside in the same building. Ramesh Agarwal passed away after falling from the 20th floor of DLF The Crest in Sector 54, Gurugram, according to Virender Vij, DCP East.

Vij said that the postmortem was finished and the body had been given to the family.

"With a heavy heart, my family and I would like to communicate that our steadfast leader and strength, my father Shri Ramesh Agarwal, passed away on March 10. He led a full life and served daily as an inspiration to me and a great number of people. His passing leaves our family with a great loss. My father's kindness and love helped us get through our most trying times and propelled us onward. His remarks will have a lasting impact on us. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time." Ritesh Agarwal stated.

Days prior to the event, the family of Ritesh Agarwal had a reception at which Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, as well as well-known startup entrepreneurs and investors, including Masayoshi Son of SoftBank, attended.

Prahlad Patel, a union minister, also posted pictures of himself with Ritesh Agarwal and his wife, Geetansha Sood, wishing the couple the very best.

Satish Kaushik, an actor, writer, and director, died on March 8 in Gurugram at the age of 66. Anupam Kher, a close friend and associate, shared the terrible news on Twitter.

Kher wrote in a tweet, "I am aware that death is the ultimate truth of this planet, but I never imagined writing this about my best friend #SatishKaushik while still living. Such a swift goodbye to a 45-year friendship! Life without you, Satish, will never be the same! Om Shanti!"

Also, Kher tweeted a black-and-white image of him and Kaushik together.
