Parents of elite commando travel 2000 km by road as approval to fly fail to arrive

NEW DELHI: Parents of 39-year-old elite commando Colonel Navjot Singh Bal who passed away in Bangalore's Military Hospital, were compelled to travel 2000 km by road after permission for the usage of a service aircraft could not come in time due to red tapism. The officials of the Air Force and the Ministry of Home Affairs, could not arrive on this, claim reports.

Lt Col KS Bal (retd) 83 years old, mother and brother have left for Gurugram from Bangalore after the permission did not arrive.

Bal had taken part in several combat operations. He was also Shaurya Chakra.

Bal passed away from a rare form of cancer. He is survived by his wife and two kids.
