BENGALURU: In a momentous event at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) headquarters in Bengaluru on August 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a hearty welcome. His visit was marked by a meeting with the talented team of scientists responsible for India's remarkable achievement - the third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3.

"Women scientists played a key role in Chandrayaan 3..this 'Shivkshakti' point will inspire the upcoming generations to use science for the welfare of people. The welfare of people is our supreme commitment", said PM Modi at ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru.

Highlighting the pivotal role of women scientists in the Chandrayaan-3 endeavor, PM Modi coined the term 'Shivkshakti' to signify their contribution. He emphasized the inspiration that this achievement would provide to future generations, encouraging them to utilize scientific advancements for the betterment of society - a commitment held in the highest regard.

India secured its place in history as the first nation to successfully land a rover on the untrodden lunar South Pole on August 23. PM Modi was virtually present in South Africa, attending the 15th BRICS Summit, as he closely followed the climactic moments of the 'Vikram' lander's touchdown. Upon returning to ISRO's Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru, he congratulated the dedicated scientists behind this groundbreaking achievement.

S Somanath, the Chairman of ISRO, personally welcomed PM Modi and shared a touching moment as the Prime Minister acknowledged the successful outcome of the audacious lunar landing mission. This sentiment was echoed as PM Modi engaged in a group photograph with the team of scientists who worked tirelessly on the project.
