GUWAHATI: On Wednesday, Droupadi Murmu, the president of India, will embark on her travels to Nagaland, Mizoram, and Sikkim as part of a four-day trip.
Prez Droupadi Murmu will attend the civic celebration held in her honor by the Nagaland government in Kohima on November 2. She will also officially lay the cornerstone for a number of infrastructure and education-related projects in the state during that time.
On November 3, 2022, the President will travel to Kigwema village to pay her respects at the Kohima War Cemetery. While there, she will meet with SHG members and Village Council members.
She will preside over the 17th convocation of the Mizoram University in Aizawl on the same day as she launches other initiatives pertaining to education in the Mizoram state. She would also be present at the civic event held by the Mizoram government in her honor that evening at the Raj Bhavan in Aizawl.
The President will speak to the Mizoram Legislative Assembly in Aizawl on November 4, 2022. She will inaugurate or lay the cornerstones for several projects of the Central and State governments on the same day, as well as attend a civic banquet organized by the Government of Sikkim in her honor.
Before departing for Delhi on November 5, 2022, the President will meet with women entrepreneurs and SHG participants in Tathagatha Tsal, Ravongla.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) at Khamdong in East Sikkim, the widening and improvement of a road connecting West and South districts from Namchi to Birdhang, the district hospital at Singtam, and the World Renewal Spiritual Brahmkumari's Center at Namchi in South Sikkim are among the other projects for which Murmu will lay the foundation stones.
Before taking out for Bagdogra airport in nearby West Bengal on his way back to New Delhi on November 5, the President will meet with women achievers at an event in Ravongla that day.
