Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the killing of three BJP workers including a youth wing leader in Kulgam district of Jammu & Kashmir.

PM Modi said that they were bright youngsters and were doing excellent work in the state.

"I condemn the killing of 3 of our young Karyakartas. They were bright youngsters doing excellent work in J&K. My thoughts are with their families in this time of grief, May their souls rest in peace", the PM tweeted.

The three BJP workers, Fida Hussain Yatoo (BJP District Youth General secretary), Umer Rashid Beigh (BJP worker) and Umer Hanan (BJP worker) were shot dead by militants in Kulgam district. The three were travelling in a car when terrorists fired at them in YK Pora area of Jammu and Kashmir. They were rushed to hospital at Qazigund, but were declared dead on arrival by doctors.

The Resistance Front (TRF), an organization believed to be the shadow group of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the killings.
