“Earlier, Ayodhya was neglected; now it is not. Ram Lalla is coming and will make Ayodhya the most beautiful city in the world. The construction of Ram Temple strengthens the foundation of ‘Ram Rajya’, which has been established in the country by PM Modi in the last nine years,” the UP CM said while addressing at the Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya.

He further said that a total of Rs 30,500 crore is being spent on 178 projects by the Central and State governments for the development of Ayodhya.

“Ending the wait of 500 years, a grand temple is being built on the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, of which we all are witnessing. A total of Rs 30,500 crore is being spent on 178 projects by the Central and State governments for the development of Ayodhya,” he added.

Yogi Adityanath also said that when the programme for the Deepotsav began, it felt as if every person had only one wish and that was the construction of the Ram Temple.

“Seven years ago when we began Ayodhya’s Deepotsav, there was a situation of confusion...But today, it has become a big programme and a unique event in the country and the world,” he added.

Preparations for Diwali are in full swing in Ayodhya, as the temple city is on its way to light 24 lakh lamps at 51 ghats at the same time, setting a world record.

Around 25000 volunteers from Avadh University and the Ayodhya district administration have been roped in to light the diyas at the same time. The team from the Guinness Book of World Records will be counting the lamps with the help of a drone camera. (ANI)
