KARNATAKA: Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar took their oaths of office today in Bengaluru's Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium, ushering in a new era in Karnataka's political landscape in a historic occasion that drew the attention of the whole state. Hopes for inclusive and revolutionary administration were high with Siddaramaiah assuming the position of Chief Minister and DK Shivakumar coming on as the Deputy Chief Minister.

A number of prominent politicians, including PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, Rajasthan's chief minister Ashok Gehlot, actor-politician Kamal Hasan, Tamil Nadu's chief minister MK Stalin, Bihar's main minister Nitish Kumar, and Bihar's deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav, attended the ceremony.

A large crowd watched Siddaramaiah take the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Karnataka under the blue sky. As the seasoned leader vowed to defend the values of justice, equality, and growth for all state residents, the atmosphere was electric with excitement. Siddaramaiah has attained this prestigious position as a result of his well-known advocacy of social welfare and his astute leadership abilities.

After serving as chief minister for five years beginning in 2013, Siddaramaiah, 75, will take office again. Shivakumar, 61, who served as a minister under Siddaramaiah in the past, will continue to serve as the party's state president of Karnataka until the next year's parliamentary elections.

Rahul Gandhi thanked the Karnataka people for supporting Congress during his speech to the audience.“We both know what you endured in the last 5 years. The Congress victory is because the party stood with the poor, dalit, and backward classes...Hatred was defeated and love triumphed,” said Rahul.

DK Shivakumar took on the role of Deputy Chief Minister during the same occasion. Shivakumar, who is renowned for his innovative style and unflinching dedication to the welfare of the populace, was promoted to this pivotal position following a high-stakes political thriller.

In the elections held on May 10, Congress won 136 seats, sweeping Karnataka. Since the results were announced on May 13, all eyes have been on the grand old party, which has two strong candidates for chief minister: Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar.

While the seasoned Congress is a mass leader, DKS is renowned as the troubleshooter, and things had begun to look challenging for the party because neither of them had initially budgeted. The "greater good" eventually persuaded DK Shivakumar to agree to the terms set out by leading party figures.
