Six Minors Rape 11-Year-Old Girl In Jharkhand's Khunti District, All Nabbed

New Delhi: An 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped by six minors in Jharkhand's Khunti district on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the accused aged between 10 and 15 years.

The incident took place when the girl had gone to a neighbouring village to attend a wedding. During a dance programme, she got indulged in an argument with the boys, who she knew from before.

Later, after the programme, when she was returning home with her friends around midnight, the boys who were following stopped her and took her to a lonely place and gang-raped her.

''Her two friends, who escaped from the spot, apprised of the same to her parents. Soon after, the parents came in searching for her but the boys fled after seeing them,'' the police were quoted as saying by media reports.

Later, the girl's family registered a police complaint following which the six accused were detained and sent to a correctional facility.
