Meerut: Another case of deception has come to light from the Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.

Two men said to be 'tantrics' looted a London returned doctor of Rs 2.5 crore in the name of selling 'Aladdin's lamp'.

The incident occurred in the Khairnagar area under Brahmpuri police station of the city.

The victim identified as Dr Laeek Khan has approached the police against the cheats.

As per reports, police have arrested the two accused after the victim's tahrir and the so-called 'magic lamp' has also been recovered from the accused.

Earlier In 2018, a patient named Sameena had come into contact with the doctor.

Later, the doctor visited her home for dressing following her surgery.

The doctor alleged that he met a tantric named Islammuddin at the woman's house.

Islamuddin who claimed himself to be a great tantric promised the doctor to make him a billionaire.

Following this, Islamuddin and his accomplice Anees promised to give Aladdin's lamp to Dr Laik.

He asserted that both men at the woman's house often used to reveal the genie with a lamp. But later found out that the genie was none other than Sameena's husband Islamuddin.

Subsequently, the doctor understood that he has been cheated, after which he complained about the entire episode to the SSP office.
