BJP Government under PM Modi will amend Clause 6 of the Assam Accord: Amit Shah

Guwahati/Nagaon: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Amit Shah on Thursday stated that the party is committed to implement Clause 6 of the historic Assam Accord in order to protect, preserve and promote the cultural, social, linguistic identity and heritage of the Assamese people in the region.

Addressing a public meeting at T Ao Stadium at Kaliabor ahead the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 today slammed the Congress and AIUDF parties for forming a secret alliance. “We need strong leader like Narendra Modi who can take decision for the sake of the people of the nation and its prosperity, People like (Rahul Baba), Tarun Gogoi or Man Mohan Singh in Assam cannot give protection to the people by forming their Government, therefore vote for Narendra Modi once again,” appealed Amit Shah.

He also claimed that the BJP Government is keen to implement clause 6 of the Assam Accord; therefore the Government had also formed a high-level committee.

Amit Shah, while praising the candidates of both BJP and its ally parties claimed about their cent per cent chances of forming the Government once again under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming general elections for Lok Sabha.

The BJP national president was accompanied by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Prabhari Mahender Singh. BJP ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president Atul Bora, minister Keshab Mahanta and other leaders of both the parties were also present.
