3D technology to be used in mobile theatre in Assam for the first time

PATHSALA, August 18: At Pathsala in Assam, for the first time mobile theatre is going to use new technology in 3D on live stage.

Kohinoor Theatre, a leading mobile theatre group, has decided to use 3D technology to the most vibrant form of the entertainment industry in the State. Kohinoor Theatre is a mobile theatre group of the Assam founded by Sri Ratan Lahkar in 1956. This year the audience will be able to enjoy the new 3D technology in the play Breaking News, by young playwright Rajdeep. Tapan Lahkar, son of Ratan Lahkar.

The entire me casting will be done with the help of 3D effects. Tapan Lahkar said, “The duration of the 3D part will be five or six minutes and five seconds. We will introduce 3D effects for the first time on live stage. The audience is always looking for a new story or something new and 3D technology will be a big step for mobile theatre. More than Rs 60 lakh has been spent for this technology. It will also be a nice experience for the people.”

Prab Lahkar, brother of Tapan Lahkar, who has worked in Bollywood in 3D features, is persolly looking after the whole thing.

Popular actress Barsha Rani Baishya will be seen on stage this year along with many artistes and the plays (dramas) are Radha Abar Hahi de, Breaking News and Zanuwar. The songs have been sung by popular singers like Zubeen Garg and Priyanka Bharali. The theatre will start from Friday.
