Shillong March 15: Meghalya Chairman of State Programme Implementation and Monitoring Committee, Saleng Sangma vouched to ‘spare nobody’ and to ensure that every executed schemes and projects should be implemented in a time bound manner On Thursday, soon after he took charge of the crucial committee with a mandate to oversee the projects executed by various departments, 6+ caught up with Saleng Sangma at his chamber at the State Secretariat. He said, “The first thing that I will do is to revamp and reactivate the committee to ensure rightful execution of the government policies and programmes. “I have seen a number of schemes, projects and other programmes remaining incomplete in the past many years.”
When asked that his task is in a ministerial role where departments concerned are also answerable to ministers, he stated, “I will not stop short from taking rightful actions against anybody who fails to perform their duties. The new chairman of the State Programme Implementation and Monitoring Committees expected to hold a review meeting with the officials in few days’ time.
