Haflong, April 9: Seeking intervention in implementing the guidelines on procurement and distribution of two pairs of school uniform at elementary level in Dima Hasao district, the All Dimasa Students’ Union, Maibang Branch submitted a memorandum to Aru Rajoria, Mission Director, Asom Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Mission, recently. The representation signed by Prinish Daolagupu, president of All Dimasa Students’ Union, Maibang Branch, stated that the guideline of the SSA regarding issuing two pairs of uniform at elementary level was issued on February 14 to various districts of Assam but it had not been executed in all the five blocks of Dima Hasao district.
No school maging committee was issued guideline or has proper knowledge how to execute the process, and instead of monitoring the process, the Cluster Resource Co-orditor, especially of the Maibang Block schools like Kalibari LP School, Maibang Government ME School and Kritipur Assamese School were seen working as a communicator by supplying the quotation of the uniform supplier to the Headmaster for their persol monetary benefit. The students’ body urged the SSA Mission to take action against those cluster resource coorditors for their unfair deeds.
