Ajanta Neog to be honoured with 'Golaghat Rat' title

GOLAGHAT, January 10: A delegation of the United Chambers of Golaghat led by president Apurba Ballabh Goswami and accompanied by Ganesh Paul, Pawan Baheti, Ajay Kanoi, Tanuj Mahanta  met  Minister Ajanta Neog on Saturday in the Circuit House. She was formally informed that the United Chamber of Commerce had decided to felicitate her and confer her the title ‘Golaghat Rat’ on January 27 at a function at the Amateur Theatre Society Auditorium. The Minister accepted and gave her consent to accept the honour.   Head of the Assamese Linguistic Department of Gauhati University, Dr Malini Goswami will be present as the chief guest at the function. The family members of founder president of United Chamber of Commerce Sarba Dowerah , former general secretary D Baruah and veteran member Madanlal Khaitan will be felicitated in the ceremony.
