In a press statement, president and general secretary of All Golaghat District Students’ Union, Niranjal Sonowal and Prince Doley, said that the AICTE rejected the recognition plea for GEC due to the alleged ignorance of the Assam Government and Education Department. After this, the government did not pay attention to fulfil the norms and regulations of AICTE. As a result, the AICTE rejected the plea for recognition to the college.
