Army jawan of Dikhowmukh dies of cardiac arrest

GAURISAGAR, MARCH 30:    Basab Dutta, a jawan of Indian Army and  son of Janguram Dutta of Dikhowmukh Gayan Gaon on the outskirts of Gaurisagar in Sivasagar district, died on Wednesday while on duty. He was 43.  Basab had been deployed in the Indian Army as a Havilder in 13 Guards at the camp of Joychalmar in Rajasthan along the India-Pakistan border. According to family sources, he went for the regular parade and after coming back he started feeling uneasy. He told his wife and soon suffered a cardiac arrest. He was taken to the army hospital but he breathed his last in the hospital. His demise has been widely mourned in the entire Dikhowmukh area. On Thursday, his body was taken to his tive village by the Indian Army officials led by a Colonel and his fellow jawans. After giving full military honour, his last rites were performed. He is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives.
