Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh unit of National People’s Party (NPP) president Gicho Kabak accompanied by his vice-president, called on Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal East Parliamentary constituency Tapir Gao at New Delhi on Friday and resolved to work in coordination for development of the State.

Both the leaders share their views on how to move together for the development of the State, a party release informed here on Saturday.

The NPP being the NDA partner at the Centre and NEDA in the Northeast region, has already submitted the letter of unconditional support to the Pema Khandu-led BJP government in the State recently and assured its full support and cooperation for the all-round development of the State.

While discussing on political issues, Gao said that BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh is intending to take all alliance political parties together like NPP and JDU after proper discussion with the national presidents of alliance parties shortly.

The NPP leaders appreciated Gao for raising important issues in the ongoing parliament session including on the Chinese objection of funding from Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), World Bank and Asian Development Bank for Arunachal Pradesh.

Gao had demanded the central government for alternative schemes for infrastructure development in the Himalayan state besides extension of quota benefit to border residents of Arunachal Pradesh in the lines of the legislation for Jammu & Kashmir which provides for reservation in direct recruitment, promotions and admission in different professional courses to various categories, including the residents of areas adjoining the international border.

Kabak urged Gao to raise the issue on China’s construction of two KMs of road inside the Indian territory in Bishing Village under Tuting sub-division in Upper Siang district in the year 2018, the release added.
