Itanagar : A team of scientists from Arunachal Pradesh State Council of Science & Technology (APSCS&T) and State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC) led by Science and Technology Secretary Gaken Ete, is participating in the fourth Edition of Asia’s largest science festival, India International Science Festival at Indira Gandhi Paristhan, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh

The festival which began on Friday would culminate on October 8 next, an official release informed here on Saturday. The IISF-2018 is conducted jointly by the union Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences and Vigyan Bharati every year to mark the importance of science in the development of the society.

The festival encourages participation of researchers, students and public to understand the importance of science and to inculcate the habit of scientific thinking and behaviour. It is a platform to create and develop collaborations amongst the research institutes and organization to showcase, transfer of innovative ideas& technologies, developed by various research institutes.

The annual mega science festival is to be formally inaugurated on Saturday by President of Ram Nath Kovind.
