The award was received by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Fr Joseph Nellanatt on behalf of the University.
“It is indeed a proud moment for our university. Our University has also received a Certificate of Special mention for Institutional Social Commitment. At Don Bosco University, We want to make Social Commitment as our institutional distinctiveness,” said Fr Joseph Nellanatt.
“If we compare the national scenario of literacy, at least 20 percent of our population cannot read and write. Only ten percent of the country’s total population has passed Class X. So, we believe, it is our responsibility on the part of the University to contribute to the society,” Fr Nellanatt said. He said the ADBU is already engaged in significant activities in the university’s neighborhood. “It is our commitment to ensuring that the villages located near our university also develop as our university develops,” he said.
