Bhupen's statue to be unveiled in Dergaon on Nov 5

Golaghat (Dhekial), October 31: The All Assam Scheduled Caste Students’ Union (AASCSU), with the help Golaghat district committee and Dergaon regiol committee, will organize the ‘Sudhakantha Divas’ on November 5 at ren Sarma Smriti Pathar, Dergaon.  In this regard, president in-charge of Golaghat district AASCSU, Dhrubajyoti Bharali said that Sudhakantha Divas would be observed with a day-long programme. In the programme, the statue of Dr Bhupen Hazarika will also be unveiled. The programme will start with flag hosting by Dr. Harikanta Das, president of AASCSU, which will be followed by offering flowers at the portrait of Dr Bhupen Hazarika by Paramanda Das, general secretary of AASCSU. The statue of Bhupen Hazarika will be unveiled by founder secretary of AASCSU, Bhabendra th Bharali.  In the programme, State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, PWD minister Parimal Suklyabaidya and MLA Mril Saikia will take part.
