Guwahati: Tabling the Interim Budget 2019, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal underlines some of the most important dimensions of the government. Speaking on behalf of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who is on medical leave currently, this is the first ever budget speech delivered by Piyush Goyal.

Termed as the budget for all, the budget claims to be provided full support for the farmers of the nation. As announced by the FM, a fund of Rs. 9,000 crore will be allotted for rural roads.

Furthermore, the FM announced a major relief for the taxpayers of the country, especially for the middle-class people. As stated, 3 crore middle-class taxpayers to be benefitted and there will be a tax rebate for people earning a salary up to Rs.5 lakhs per anum.

Other key points of the budget are as follows:

Announcing some good news for the taxpayers of the nation, Goyal added that the income tax returns will now be processed in 24 hours and simultaneously, the refunds will be issued.

Goyal further garnered huge support from his fellow ministers on announcing that India is aiming to be a $5 trillion economy in next 5 years and $10 trillion economy in the next 8 years.

Indian Railways too gets one of the best gifts as the Union budget has allocated Rs.1.58 trillion for expanding the railway infrastructure in the country. Goyal also took to praise the Modi government adding that India is soon to enjoy world-class train experience through semi-high speed train Vande Bharat Express. Notably, the speeding train is a product of Indian engineering.

The farmers of the country are also being provided with good benefits as the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi or PM-Kisan scheme has received a budgetary allocation of Rs.75,000 crore for 2019-20. the first installment will be alotted quickly to the small and marginal farmers who own less than 5 acres of land.
