GUWAHATI, March 11: The Border Security Force (BSF) observed Intertiol Women’s Day at Guwahati Frontier HQ and Field Formations under command. The event was organized under the aegis of BSF Wives’ Welfare Association (BWWA) to promote sense of justice, dignity and equality of women amongst people.

BWWA President of BSF Guwahati Frontier Rashmi Aggarwal iugurated the programme, which was participated by 219 ladies of the campus. The occasion was marked by organizing various competitions and events, amongst families of BSF and NDRF personnel, residing at Patgaon campus in Guwahati, like musical chair competition, Antakshari competition, lecture on Breast Cancer Awareness and extending pleasantries and gifts by BWWA president to orphans at SOS village Borjhar, Guwahati.

Addressing the gathering, Rashmi Aggarwal said that Intertiol Women’s Day Celebration mobilized people around the world to call for a planet 50-50 by the year 2030. This annual event is being organized to highlight the essence of equal representation of women at all levels and acknowledging the contribution of women in every aspects of life.
