Tezpur: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal paid floral tributes at the portrait of slain Assam Rifles trooper Kalidas Sharma, who was killed in an ambush in Nagaland, on the occasion of his adya shradhha at his residence in Berajan, Mansiri in Sonitpur district on Thursday.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal handed over a cheque of Rs. 20 lakh as ex-gratia amount to the father of slain Assam Rifles trooper Kalidas Sharma. Member of Parliament from Tezpur, Pallab Lochan Das, Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika, Borsola MLA Ganesh Limboo, Deputy Commissioner Narsing Pawar, chairman of ATPPCL, Rajen Borthakur, and vice-chairman of AMTRON, Ritubaran Sarmah were present along with others.
