District Development Committee meet held at the Sukapha Conference Hall

SIVASAGAR: The District Development Committee meeting was held at the Sukapha Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Sivasagar recently. Presiding over the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lakshmanan S reviewed the progress of all ongoing developmental schemes of various departments underway in the district. The DC also informed the officers present on the precautionary measures to be taken while carrying out official works following the announcement of the parliamentary election, besides rules and regulations prescribed by the Election Commission.

He directed the district-level officers to arrange removal of banners and posters from their respective campuses immediately. He also cautioned them against declaring any new scheme or programme. Jagadish Brahma, District Election Officer, also spoke in detail about the election code of conduct.
