District Task Force, Kamrup (Metro) Rescued 8 Child Labourers In Guwahati City

GUWAHATI: On the occasion of “World Day Against Child Labour” 12th June, 2019, Pledge against Child Labour was taken in all the Government Offices and schools of Kamrup (M). A child labour rescue drive was also conducted by the District Task Force, Kamrup (M) where eight numbers of child/adolescent labours were rescued by the team on the day. FIR was filed against the employers of child labour by the Labour Department Official. All the rescued child labours shall be produced before CWC, Guwahati and necessary legal action shall be initiated against the employer after proper age determination of the child/ adolescent.
