Double crown for Pari Singh in OIL – AITA Super Series Tennis

GUWAHATI, July 27: Pari Singh of Maharashtra lifted double crown in the OIL – AITA Super Series Tennis Championship for boys and girls U-14 and 16 years which concluded at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex, Chachal today. In the girls U-14 singles Pari defeated Bhumika Tripathi, also from Maharashtra, in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. In the girls U-14 doubles final Pari partnering with Sweta Samanta of West Bengal beat Aarni Yellu and Malishka Kuramu of Telengana by virtue of walk over. In the boys U-14 singles final Ajay Singh of Haryana caused a major upset by defeating Top seed Aayush P Bhat of Karnataka 6-0, 6-2. In the girls U-16 doubles final Assam girls Kristi Boro partnering with Shatavisa Ghosh of West Bengal lifted the crown by defeating Saranya Gaware and Hrudaya Shah of Maharashtra in a gruelling three setter 1-6, 7-6 (4), 10 -8.
