Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to visit Lakhimpur today

LAKHIMPUR: State Health and PWD Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will arrive in Lakhimpur for a day-long programme on Friday.

After arriving at Lilabari Airport at 10.20 am, the minister will take part in a plantation programme at Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital which is being constructed at Saboti of North Lakhimpur. There he will take part in a public meeting and a review meeting too. Then he will take part in an interaction programme with the media persons of Lakhimpur headquarter.

Thereafter, the minister will attend a programme organized at Lakhimpur District Library auditorium to felicitate best performing SHGs. Then he will visit the Madhavdev Kalakshetra at Narayanpur and set out for Bihali. He will spend the night at Power Grid Corporation Guest House at Baghmari in Bihali. On Saturday, the minister will visit the Gangmou Than at Borgang of Biswanath district. Then he will call on the family of martyr Kalidas Sarmah at Rangapara of Sonitpur district. On the same day he will proceed to the capital by road inspecting the NH-52 between Tezpur and Mangaldoi.
