'Dr Mansing Rongpi will get Congress ticket again'

Donkamokam, April 5: “Parliamentary Secretary in-charge Fince, Dr Mansing Rongpi will once again get Congress ticket for 20th Boithalangso LAC and will win without any difficulty,” said Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang at the ceremonial distribution of agricultural materials, mosquito nets and other items at Donkamokam.

 “Dr MS Rongpi has a clean image and has raised the burning problems of the district in the Assembly,” he added. He also criticized the BJP for spreading ‘false propaganda’ in the hills district.

Dr MS Rongpi, who was the chief guest in the meeting, regretted that an MLA had no role to play in the Sixth Schedule areas.

In the meeting, under the CM’s special scheme, 89 beneficiaries were benefitted. Besides bicycles, agricultural materials and cheques were also distributed. Presided over by MCC president Tarjan Langthasa, EMs Rupsing Teron and MS Timung also addressed the large gathering.
