Dream big, aim high: Mein to students

ITAGAR, March 4: Aruchal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chow Mein has exhorted the graduates of Venerable Uktara Bethany College at Manimow in msai district to dream big and aims high in life and work hard by putting cent percent efforts to excel in life.

Attending the First Graduation Day of the college on Saturday, the deputy Chief Minister while citing unemployment as a mounting problem as thousands of students graduate every year, Sd that the S Government could create and provide limited jobs and every one cannot be absorbed in Government jobs.

He advised the students to develop sense of competitiveness and look for the opportunities in other altertive areas too in this age of modern technology and globalization, an official report informed here today.

He lauded the Vivekanda Trust, Bethany College Trust, Mohabhodi Trust and Rama Krish Mission for their humanitarian services in the field of education and health services by establishing educatiol Institutions and health care facilities across the State.

He said that the need of the hour was to improve quality of education in the school level for building strong base for the children. Mein also lauded the district administration and the NGOs for their action taken against the poppy cultivation and drug mece in the district.

Calling for concerted effort by all the stakeholders including parents and students, the deputy chief minister said that the children and the students should raise voice against their parents who took up poppy cultivation as a source of earning as such activities spoils the entire society.

He said that the Government would provide alterte source of livelihood for poppy cultivation.

Mein, who also holds the fince portfolio, further said that the arduous exercise is being done by the S Government to provide people-friendly budget while informing that the coming budget would be pro-poor, pro-farmer, pro-women, pro-student, and pro-youths.

He asked the people to participate in the budget portal launched by the Chief Minister and place their suggestions too, the report added.
