Parenting

A child’s mind is like a dough that can be moulded into any shape. This is a privilege as well as a trouble for the parents. No matter how hard they try to improve a child’s habit or thinking, a wrong or inapt influence can mar the entire hardwork. For better parenting, a parent must know about the factors that influence their child’s social and emotional development.

Positive Caring & Friendship

Learning about the relationships and respecting relations, in the early childhood is equally important and beneficial. However, that needs to be inculcated with positive-caring and rendering sufficient attention. Befriend them, to an extent, to have more impact.

Learning through play

Only preaching and learning would surely exhaust the patience and interest of the child. However, blending learning with playing can earn you better learners. Take out time for family play time.

Nurturing environment

A positive environment is the key to foster a child’s emotional and social development. They learn from the adults about the acceptable social behaviour. Ensure that you keep a close watch on your behaviours and manners. If the child has a supportive, stimulating, and caring environment, his or her brain development will be the way it should be.

Punishing & Shaming Should Be Avoided

As important is rendering love and cae, that important is punishment though, but beating, and shaming, most of the time without paying heed to his or her self-respect would only drift you away from her or him. Enforce discipline without making her feel unloved.

Raising a child as a “Team”

Make them a part of your family’s daily chores. Though in a small way, ask them to contribute as a team. At the same time ensure that everyone follows the same family norms, to set an example.
