Dibrugarh, April 28: Former forest Minister, Atuwa Munda took charge of the Dibrugarh District Congress Committee, amidst presence of large number of party workers, and senior members at Rajib Bhavan here on Thursday.

 The party workers and others gave him warm welcome on arrival of his convoy to party office. The former Party president, Dr Anowar Hussain, Former union Minister and president of Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha, Paban Singh Ghatowar, former minister, Prati Phukan, former Chairman of Dibrugarh Municipality Board, Chandra Kanta Baruah, were present at the charge hand over ceremony.

Munda, later called upon all party workers to work as a team in the forthcoming Panchayat election. While talking with media persons, Munda stated that he had asked the workers to highlight the party's agenda and brief the people about Bharatiya Jata Party's failure in keeping the promises on what they made  during election.
