Donkamukam: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang on Sunday ceremoniously distributed health cards under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana for West Karbi Anglong at a programme organized by BPHU at Langsudo LP School playground, Donkamukam in West Karbi Anglong.

“Prime Minister Modi launched PM Jan Arogya Yojana on September 23, 2018 from Jharkhand with the sole aim to build a healthy nation and today we are distributing the cards ceremoniously for beneficiaries of West Karbi Anglong district,” said Ronghang. The CEM also thanked the BJP high command for taking up the issue of implementing Article 244(A) for creation of autonomous state for Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao.

“The BJP is very serious about the issue and so we are having talks with the government,” he added. Around 26,805 cards were distributed on Sunday. Ronghang also ceremoniously distributed solar lamps to BPL students of government LP schools.

Presided over by EM i/c Medical, Khonsing Rongpi, the programme was also attended by local MLA Dr Mansing Rongpi, KAAC chairman Longki Timung, District Malaria Officer Dr Borsing Rongpi, other leaders and ASHA workers.
