Want to get an SC/ST certificate issued? You can, if you genuinely belong to any of these two categories. All you need to do is follow this route map. Collect an application form from a PFC (Public Facilitation Centre) at your nearest revenue circle office. You need to pay an application fee amounting to Rs 80 at the Centre. Fill up the application form and get it uploaded at the PFC. Make sure that your online application has all the requisite documents like your father’s SC/ST certificate or any connecting-SC/ST certificate of your paternal kin, a report from your gaonburha, recommendations from the apex body of SCs/STs authorized by the State government, a copy of the legacy data as per the NRC 1951 or the electoral rolls between 1966 and 1971 and your address proof. The relevant document(s) have to be uploaded along with the application.

The SC/ST certificate is an important document that allows you to avail of your special rights like quotas in getting jobs, promotions (if already in jobs), getting admitted into educational institutions etc.

After submitting your application with all the requirements, you are supposed to get your SC/ST certificate issued within 30 days from the date of application.
