Kamrup district administration practices eviction at Goroimari

Boko: Kamrup district administration evicted illegal occupants on government land at Goroimari under Chaygaon constituency of Kamrup district on Wednesday. Goroimari Circle Officer Dhrubajyoti Hatibaruah led the operation along with police and CRPF personnel. More than 50 houses of 32 to 35 families were demolished with the help of excavator and labourers. Sources said that the families were erosion-affected victims. They had taken shelter there about 30 to 35 years ago. The evicted people have now appealed to the administration to provide them shelter.
