Karam festival to be celebrated in Demow

DEMOW, September 15: Under the patroge of the working committee of Karam Bhawan Cultural Kendra, and in association with the people of Raichai in Raichai Cultural Kendra, the Karam Festival, which is the festival of tea tribe people, will be celebrated in Demow on September 16.

 As per the programme, flag hoisting will be done by ni Prasad Ghatowar, president of the organizing committee. After that poem recitation and modern song competition will be held among the students of the primary school. In evening, the Karam Bhavan will be iugurated by Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Jorhat MP. Kushal Dowari, MLA of Thowra Constituency, will be present in the programme as special chief guest.
