SHILLONG, Nov 24: With an intension to assist the PDF candidate form Mawkynrew constituency Banteidor Lyngdoh, the party candidate form Mawlai Teiborlang Pathaw extended his support to the candidate on Friday.
Pathaw, along with a number of residents from Mawkynrew, met Lyngdoh on Friday at his office chamber in the KHADC to extend their support.
Speaking to The Sentinel, Pathaw said, “I have come here to give my complete support to Lyngdoh as he is passiote to work for the welfare of the people and the State.”
Stating that the present MLA has not done much to improve the constituency, he said, “I would like to urge the people of Mawkynrew to lend their support to Lyngdoh so that he can fulfill the needs of the people.”
Meanwhile, Lyngdoh appreciated Pathaw for lending his support along with some residents of Mawkynrew constituency.
“I hope that both Pathaw and I will be able to achieve success from Mawlai and Mawkynrew constituencies in the upcoming 2018 Assebly elections so that we will be able to work hard for the benefit of the people,” Lyngdoh said.
On being asked, he said: “We are expecting that the PDF will be number 1 after the results are declared.”
Lyngdoh is also confident of winning the 2018 MLA elections from Mawkynrew constituency.
Observing the Mawkynrew constituency still lacking behind in terms of development, Lyngdoh said, “If I win the election, I will concentrate on improving the road condition in the constituency, education, health care beside other needs of the people.”
