Mithuns dying from FMD

Itagar, April 29: Over 500 Mithuns have reportedly died due to Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in the newly created Kra Dadi district. While informing this, the All Aruchal Agriculture Horticulture Input Suppliers Registered Dealership Association, in a release said that Mithuns are dying every day due to outbreak of FMD in epidemic form and is incurring heavy loss to the owners. It urged the authority concerned of the state veteriry department to send veteririans with sufficient medicines to contain the disease. When contacted, DIO K Basar has denied any outbreak of foot and mouth disease in the district. He, however, assured to inquire into the reported outbreak of the disease.
